Decipad, a London-based startup, entrusted me with the task of enhancing their notebook interface. The challenges encompassed three key areas: handling inline boolean values with variables, creating an intuitive inline formula interface, and optimising data tables for efficiency and flexibility.

Solution

Inline Boolean Component:

To tackle the challenge of managing boolean values… we implemented sliders and direct numerical input, making it easier for users to understand and manipulate boolean variables.

Inline Formula Interface:

Our solution for the inline formula interface involved creating a dynamic preview during formula construction. We designed a library of functions and variables, simplifying the formula-building process. Users can now effortlessly craft complex formulas with ease.

Data Tables:

For data tables, our focus was on enhancing efficiency and flexibility. We enabled users to customize column widths, apply filters, and sort data effortlessly. Batch editing was introduced to streamline data entry and updates, ensuring a seamless data management experience.

Results

Our collaborative efforts with Decipad yielded significant improvements in their notebook interface. Users now enjoy a more efficient and user-friendly experience, allowing them to handle data tasks with confidence. The enhanced interface has empowered Decipad users to make the most of their data management capabilities.
